2025 Scholarship Winners:
Congrats to all our seniors! We wish you luck in all of your future endeavors!
Rhyan Lewis
Rhyan Lewis is a senior and salutorian at Fonda-Fultonville High School. Rhyan was a member of the Fonda-Fultonville High School Girls Varsity Soccer team for three years, serving as team captain during her junior and senior seasons. She was twice selected as a Western Athletic Conference Second Team All-Star. Throughout her highschool career, she has received a Coach’s Award, as well as awards for Best Offensive Player and Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Rhyan was a member of the Northeast Albany Rush 2007/2008 Girls Team for the last four years, and was appointed Captain of her team during her final year with the program. In the fall, Rhyan will attend Elmira College, where she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, with plans of dual-majoring in pre-med biology and nursing while playing Division III soccer.
Emma Murray
Emma Murray of Gansevoort is a member of the graduating class of 2025 at Saratoga Springs High School, where she played varsity soccer for three years. As captain in her last season, she helped bring her team to championship wins at the Sectional and Regional levels, as well as an appearance in the State Championship Semi-Finals. Emma also competed as a member of her school's nordic ski team for six years. She has led her team to three NYSPHSAA State Championship appearances, and secured the 2025 State Championship title in her final year. Outside of school, Emma played soccer for Capital Elite FC. This year. Emma has received the Suburban Scholastic Council Excellence in Leadership Award, as well as the George Pulver and Kevin Cummings awards. She will be attending Haverford College in the fall, where she will play Division III soccer. She plans on majoring in neuroscience on the pre-med track.
Johner Soe
Johner Soe of Renssalaer graduated from Albany Academy, where he played varsity soccer for four years and served as team captain for two. He earned the Maureen R. Mealey Memorial Award, as well as a League Honorable Mention and recognition as the Second Team Defender of the Year. Johner also played for Greenbush Soccer Club, where he was also captain for two years. Johner's relationship with soccer was beyond that of a competitor, as he has helped coach U10 and U14 boys' teams at Greenbush SC, and has pursued his Grassroots Referee License. In the fall, he will attend Bentley University, where he was selected for the Bentley FirstGen Presidential Fellows program. He plans on majoring in Economics-Finance with a minor in Oppostions and Supply Chain Management, and continuing his soccer career at the club level.
Sofia Storrow
Sofia Storrow of Voorheesville graduated from Clayton A. Bouton High School, where she played varsity soccer for three years, serving as team captain for two. In 2023, she was recognized as a Colonial Council 2nd Team All-Star, and in 2024 was a Colonial Council 1st Team All-Star, Section 2 Class B All-Star, and Times Union 2nd Team All-Star. Sofia has also competed at the varsity level in lacrosse and indoor track. She has played club soccer for Greenbush SC and Rotterdam United SC. In the fall, she will attend SUNY Brockport, where she will play Division III soccer. She plans on majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Communications.
